Question:
what’s up with all the telemarketing calls when you get a new land line number?
i just got a new land line number so i could stop using my cell so much and hopefully cut down my bill but the telemarketers have some how already managed to get my number and there ringing my phone off the hook. my number is unlisted too.

I think that I have heard that phone companies sell the list of new phone numbers that have been hooked up.

Make sure you sign up for the “do not call” list asap. It takes a few months to kick in, but at least it stops the calls. Just don’t answer any numbers you don’t recognize. Why the law allows these annoying calls is beyond me.
