Q&A: Im looking for a telemarketing job?

Question:

Im looking for a telemarketing job?

Is it pretty easy to find a telemarketing job? I think I would like this job for right now because it would help “bring me out” a little as far as interacting with other people goes. Plus, I am a musician at night and I know a lot of call centers are pretty liberal about how you dress to work. Know of any good places to find such a job?

I don’t know where you live, but there are lots of telemarketing jobs here in Ohio. There are ads in our papers everyday. They offer benefits and good pay.
If there are none listed in your paper, go to your employment office and they can give you a referral to a company or at least the names of companies that are hiring.
One telemarketing company that comes to mind is InfoCision. You could probably look them up on the web, but I am not sure where they are located.
Good luck.

I have several friends that work at group homes for brain-damaged people and they start around 12 an hour. Responsiblities are mainly just cooking and hanging out with the residents…they seem to really enjoy it.

Help out. How to get a telemarketing job?

Question:

Help out. How to get a telemarketing job?

Well, my mom has been a stay at home mom for years now, but now, she’s looking for a job. Well, she actually really needs one. The problem is, she’s a little handicapped and can’t stand for long periods of time. I’m trying to help her out.

She majored in Business and Finance in college, so I thought of banks and insurance agencies first, but none of those are hiring at all, probably because of the economy.

So, if you can think of any other jobs, that’d be great. & how do you get a telemarketing job? I have no experience with telemarketing at all.

I worked for Discover Card as a marketing sales representative which was basically a telemarketing job.

We had to call customers and sell them Discover Card products even if they were listed in the do not call registry list, it was okay to call them because they were our customers and had business with us, as well as take customers calls who would call in to Discover Card.

The pay was so good. /hour plus bonuses. Its really good if she can handle that type of job, and meet quotas. You do need to meet a quota or you’re out of a job. Many talented people leave that job, but it wasn’t for me so I quit.

She could try Discover Card or another credit card company. I’m sure even Visa, Master Card and American Express have positions like that. Just go to their websites, have your mom apply for any open positions and try to follow up on the submissions.
