I don’t know about telemarketing, but I have a great career I do from home. It is mostly computer work with some phone work involved as well. My company is great and offers 401k, benefits and full training and support. They are also BBB members.

That’s a question that I have asked myself on and off through out the past few years or so. Like others here have stated, it’s an area of the job market that is loaded with scamming thieves out there preying on the unknowing and gullible. This is the main reason why I have yet to trust any of them enough to pursue a job with them. The vast majority ask for money up front, which to me is a red flag warning, kind of like those that advertise postal jobs but require you to send them a fee (by the way, government jobs never require a fee to be sent for a list of jobs, only for the test and that’s at the place of the test).
If you are still interested, get the name of the company and look them up on the BBB site, the Better Business Bureau and see if they are listed with them. If they are then go for it.
