Q&A: Where can I find free info on training a dog?

Question:

Where can I find free info on training a dog?

I have new puppies in the house and was wondering where I could find free info on the internet for training them. They need to be taught all basic commands. There used to be a woman from England, I think, that trained dogs. She was excellent, any info on her would be appreciated too. Thanks!

I don’t believe there are any for free. R.L.Polk has been making alot of money compiling and selling these lists for many years in Detroit.

Well, telemarketing companies don’t get their lists from white pages. They get them from the credit bureau. But.. there’s a fee, of course. The bureaus can give you a list of people, say, that live in a certain set of zip codes. Or make a certain amount of money. Or have financed a similar product as yours before. Or a certain age, demographic, you name it – but it’s all ultimately from the credit bureaus.

This is what happens when you get put on the do-not-call list – the bureaus mark your file as unable to give out. That doesn’t mean that marketing companies that have already received your information would know you’re on the do-not-call list… that’s why it takes time.
