Start talking about cats in an old woman voice, list each one, it’s length of fur and texture of their tongues, also what your favorite trees are, they should get the point after about 4 minutes of you interrupting them.

It automatically disconnected after the third ring so as I assumed it may have been an automated form of telemarketing that’s very common these days.

Check the help wanted adds in your local newspapers. They don’t always say “telemarketing” in the add because not many people want to do that for a living. It will probably say something like -20/hr with possible bonuses. You will probably have to drive to a larger town for work everyday, but there are telemarketing jobs everywhere.

Q&A: beside food service or telemarketing, what other type of jobs could I look for?

Question:

beside food service or telemarketing, what other type of jobs could I look for?

I am a us citizen, some college (no degree), long unemployment, some computer skill(MS Office), 60 wpm typing. I can’t seem to cut it in food service jobs, and I would rather storm Fort Knox than try to do telemarketing again. I am trying to brainstorm other job possibilities. I am being evicted, so I can’t do eBay selling right now, or any other internet money making stuff. Also, I my Driver’s Licence is suspended, so that cuts out all the driving jobs.
