How would I go about training myself to read faster?
Question:
How would I go about training myself to read faster?
It currently takes me about 2 minutes to read a page with most novels.
My to-read queue is currently over 50 books long, and it gets bigger every week. To keep up, I want to learn how to read faster. Optimally, I would read 2 pages a minute without missing any details. How would I go about training myself to do this?

Practice.
Take a piece of paper, and place it on the page so you can’t see the words before your current place. Then quickly move that piece of paper down to the bottom of the page while you read to keep up.
Time yourself. It’s like racing, you keep trying to go faster.
If you have trouble making the sheet of paper mover faster than you’re actually reading, there are speed reading places that sell machines that do that, or you could get a friend to help. Your friend can move the paper at a regular time, and wouldn’t be influenced by how much you’ve actually read.
Push yourself. Keep trying to beat your previous time.
You don’t always have to read as fast as possible, but if you keep this up, you’re guaranteed to read faster than you used to.
